We are excited to announce a new opportunity for foster and adoptive parents to join a Men's or Women's small group book study led by Channing and Charity Wendt.
Good communication is essential whether that is through in-person conversations, face timing, phone calls, meetings, etc. But anyone can talk, so how do we make our words matter and influence any outcome? By connecting! We each innately have desire to be able to connect effectively with our spouse, kids, friends, co-workers, DHS case workers, etc. But as our personal and business worlds have become more virtual during COVID-19, the question becomes how do we form a true connection with others in these circumstances? It may not seem easy or natural to most – it is a skill that can be learned! Everyone can have the ability to easily connect with others and reach our full potential as God has created us!
Join us for a 6-week book club where we will be going through John Maxwell’s, “Everyone Communicates Few Connect”. We will have a women’s group and separate men’s group on alternating weeks. Couples - feel free to purchase one book to share (or in our case, not share and have two copies).
During each meeting we will be covering the following principles and how it ties into God’s Word:
• Finding Common Ground
• Keeping Communication Simple
• Capturing People’s Interest
• Inspiring People
• Staying Authentic in all your Relationships
