It's August and many of us are preparing to send our kids back to school. That means new teachers, routines, lunches, homework, after school activities and more! All of these things can bring a wide range of emotions for children and their parents, making this an extra challenging season for foster and adoptive families. That's why this month we will be discussing how you can help set your children up for a successful school year at home and in the classroom.  We will also hear from the Assistant Principal at Smith Elementary, Corrie Meissner. She will provide us with a better understanding of specific vocabulary that you often hear in parent teacher conferences and IEP meetings.

Dinner, childcare, and a training certificate will be provided.
